Dangerous Records became known for their "Bangin On Wax" albums. It was Tweedy Bird Loc's idea and Ronnie Ron (R.I.P) made it happen. Music videos like Bangin' On Wax, Piru Love, Steady Dippin', G's & Loc's, ect got played a lot on TV and Bangin On Wax albums are still well known today. However, the same can not be said for other Dangerous Records acts and, it is safe to say that G'' Len is one of them.

If you love "G-Funk" type of albums and true Reality Rap this is for you. I like every song on this album. The only thing I don't like about it is the much unneeded skits. G'' Len shows some nice skills on the mic and, all the beats are funky.

Strickly Roots - Begs No Friends

This short album by this short lived group was dropped in 1993. Strickly Roots is made up of Broadway, RMR, and DJ Fashion. To my knowledge this group never relased anything else other then a few 12"s

The album strats with "Bust The Tech". It is not great but it is not bad eather, just average. Next up is the title track "Begs No Friends". Its a solid track but the best is yet to come. "King A New York" is a little over a mintue Reggae moment; not what such a short album needs. Now "Begs No Friends" really start to take off. "Get 'N Open" is a great track with a fucky beat and fresh rhymes.

"Duck Da Boyz" is a GREAT TRACK!!! It is one of my favorite tracks that speaks out against the cops. It has a slamin' beat and strong rhymes to go with it. I love everything about this track. It is a must hear. "Mic Controla" may not be as good as the last to tracks however, it is still solid. "Roots & Culture" is another one mintue long track (like "King A New York") but, unlike "King A New York" some nice rhymes are kicked here. It is a real shame that this track is only a mintue long. DJ Fashion lets us know were he and hes grew are from on "South Bronx (Uptown)". Why dose this track go on for four mintues I have no idea. The album ends with " Fa Real" whitch is just a bunch of shit talking and tons of got shot sounds.

This album is way short but it biggest flaw is all its filler. However, it still has some strong moments. Track four and five are great examples of hardcore Eastcoast Hip Hop as will as great examples of what this group could have been if they dropped more music.

This strong San Francisco Hip Hop. Dre Dog dropped this dope album in 1995. Cougnut from I.M.P. stops by on the frist track "Muthafucka". Dre Dog kicks soe dope rhymes but Cougnut takes this track to the next level and the beat is dope R.I.P. Cougnut. "Situation Critical" is a dope track about the stress the street bring. Its time to talk abouth them hoes on "Powda 4 The Hoes" Is a solid track. "Killa Whale" is next. It is a real layed back track but that does not stop Dre Dog from rockin' his strong voice. It an ok track but this album has better tracks to offer.

"Ike Turner" is a solid track with a nice beat. "Piece Of My Mind is Dre Dog kickin' rhymes acappella style. Its real kool.

Dre Dog express that he likes to fuck on "Hit it From The Back (Lips 2)" Its a very forgetable track to me because the beat almost put me asleep. "Dirty Worm (Bonus Track) has a real hhyit pe beat and even though Dre Dog kicked some stuff he has already kicked on "Muthafucka" and he even kicks Cougnuts rhymes it still works. Dope tracks. "Fillmoe" is filler. Skip! "Kickin Of The Caine" is a dope track that will get you hyped. enough said. "The Stress Factor is slow track but Dre Dog shows he can do more then hyped beats. Its about the stress of the street like "Situation Critical" but its way better. The female Rapper Lo-Lo on "U Ain't My Folks" but Dre Dog bring a lot of life to this track. "Mind Full Of Hatrad is another grat track full of hardcore raymes. Time for some Shout outs on " straight 2 The Point". Dre Dog kicks some more rhymes on "A Diamond (Cocaine Murder Remix)" but it uses the beat from " Killin Of The Caine" and it could of useed a whole new beat.

This is strong must hear Hip Hop from the Bay. Dre Dog has a nice strong flow and even stronger voice. I hate to be so picky by giving an album a 9 out 10 but I fell as though this just miss the 10 racking. However, this album is one that hardcore Hip Hop fans will enjoy, I would think.

Mad CJ Mac - True Game

This is another highly underrated album from 1995. I just can’t understand why this album did not receive the respect that it deserves. Mad CJ Mac has dope hardcore gangster type rhymes with funky beats to go along with them. The album starts with a simple intro that ties into the first song “Let My Niggas Out Tha Pen”. Mad CJ Mac Raps about his friends that are locked up for slanging dope that are just trying to feed their family. He also speaks on his hate for The Three Strikes Law. It is a real dope track. Then comes the song “True Game”. It is an ok track but it is not as good as what’s to come. “Come And Take A Ride” is a smooth track that is good to chill to. It’s a GREAT track and its worth a lot of re-play. The next track “Realism” is far from the great but it is still ok.

On the track “Powda Puff” Mad CJ Mac Raps about fake G’s with record deals. He kicks dope rhymes on this track and they are often funny and all of it is the truth. It is a great highlight track. “Losin' My Mind” at first sounds like it’s just going to be a skit but it ends up becoming a solid track about the hard times Mad CJ Mac is going through. “Can't Cee Thee Ahh!” is a nice smooth and funky track with real nice rhymes to got with it. Tryina Survive failures to stand out and to me it is the most forgettable track on this album.

Next up is “Trust No” and it is a GREAT track. No question it is another highlight track. It is about how Mad CJ Mac never always himself to trust anyone but himself. He brings some great rhymes on this track and the beat is just as good. “Dead Man Walkin’” is another track about his homies that are locked up and CJ Mac express how much he misses them. It is a nicely done track over a kool smooth and slow beat. Lil’ J stops by on “Moment Of Silence” to show respect to those that are locked up. The last track “I Can't Stand A Rat” was a great way to end this dope album. It has nice rhymes and an even doper beat.

This album is dope and if you love hardcore Westcost of the mid-90s odds are you already know of it and have for sometime. However, even if this is not your style I think all hardcore Hip Hop fans will find much joy in this album.

Before I call it a day I would just like to say a few things. First off, I know it has been FOREVER since I last updated. Well, I happen to be one of the most laziest people on plant Earth. I have also had problem with my internet for about a month now. I know it has been well over a month since my last update; but like I said I’m lazy. I would like to say what’s up to Streets On Beats because they are the koolest! I just went on the blog right now and download that KMC track. THAT SHIT IS DOPE AS FUCK!!! I just had to say that while it is fresh in my mind. I just could not hold in my enjoyment for that tracks one second more. Anyway, sorry for not updating and I hope to get this place moving again. In 1997 Ice-T's Book "The Ice Opinion" was put on audio for ignorant mothafuckas (like me) that don't read. lol I'm not sure when the book was released. (I think it was around 1993 or 1994 but I may be way off.) Ice-T has done everything from movies, TV, Hardcore Rock, clothing, and probably tons of other shit that I don't even know about. As you all know Ice-T is always down for speaking his mind and dropping knowlege. And thats just what he does here. He talks about everthing from sex, gangs, racism, and tons of other things. Now, I know it is long and it will take AT THE LEAST two sitings to get the throw the whole thing. However, it is worth it. A lot of knowlege is droped here. I highly recommend it. ENJOY!

Convicts - Convicts

The Convicts is made up of Big Mike and Lord 3-2. They droped this solid LP in 1991 on none other then Rap-A-Lot Records. The album starts with "Free World". The two can't wait to get out of the cell and that makes for a great first track. "Peter Man" is all about Big Mike shootin' up mothafuckas; dope track. Big Mike & 3-2 kick some MC battle type Raps on "This Is For The Convicts". It is on the hype tip but it did not come out as good as I hoped. "Fuck School" is so missplaced and it just did not do much for me even though I hate the public school system. Next up is "Penitentiary Blues" it has a dope beat but the rhymes are not to great.

"1-900-Dial-A-Crook" is a crazy dope track! If you need to know how to jack a ride or cook up some dope call the Convicts. Willie D and Bushwick Bill also stop by. This album is worth checking out just for this track alone. Every album like this needs a song about treating bitches like dirt. "Woop Her Ass" gives you just that. It is real good track with a kool Andrew Dice Clay sample. The female MC Choice stops by but her Rap is very forgetable. On "I Ain't Going Back" Big Mike & 3-2 are willing to do anything to keep out of the cell; solid track. Big Mike & 3-2 rap about how they love to fuck bitches on "I Love Boning"; a ok track. The album comes with one last great track "DOA". It is full of stright Gangsta rhymes, nice beat too! "Wash Your Ass" is a point less track but it has a dope beat. It is about dirty mothafuckas that need to take a shower when they are locked up. The last track "Illegal Aliens" is full of ingnorace. (Racism, the most ingnrant subject in the world) If you don't want to hear tons of ingnorance then do not play this track. With that said, even though what they say in this song is far from smart I still find some joy in it.

Overall, this album is solid and has a few really dope tracks to offer. There are tons of albums by Rap-A-Lot Records that are way better then this one but it still holds its own weight.

Here are three unreleased Insane Poetry tracks. The first two "Ain't Got No Braincells" and "Great Day To Die" are from 1994. You may hard "Ain't Got No Braincells" at http://streetsonbeats.blogspot.com/ on their MP3 player. It is a real dope track. The last one "Peekin' Thru Ur Back" is a dope track too. I'm not 100% sure what year this track was done. It is around 2003-2005. If you are like me and try real hard to stick to only oldschool music I have one thing to say. Don't fear Insane Poetry. If you like this track keep you eyes open for their 2003 album "Faith In Chaos" Trust me, its dope and you will love it.

It is such a shame that great tracks like these were never released. The real sad part is their has got to be a bunch more that will never be heard.

X-Raided - Psycho Active

I have no clue why I have not posted this one already. It should of been posted on my old blog along time ago. For whatever reason I have not posted it I guess it is for the best; because now it will get a full review.

The album starts with a very short skit skit "Tha Murder". If someone comes to your door and says they are a pizza man and you did not order a pizza DON'T ANSWER THE DOOR!!! The music starts on "Still Shooting". X-Rated shows us he is taking no shorts on rhymes or beats. He kicks crazy Raps about muder, sex, and often both at the sametime. Even though his amount of topics are very limited, the music could not be better. This track is not slow but smooth with a kool Willie D sample. On "Call Tha Guardz" X-Raided talks about everything from drinking a 40 to fucking his bitch. It does not have the best beat on the album but it still better then advrage. X-Rated tells the story of a hoe he knows on the track "Who's Tha Hoe?" It has dope rhymes and a hype beat.

If for some reason you don't understand that X-Raided is one muthafucka you don't want to fuck with yet "Crazy Than A Mutha Fucka" is for you. Nice rhymes here and a funky horn loop. "Every Single Bitch" is funky as fuck. Another message from the X telling you not to give a bitch a inch because she will want a yard. "Fuccin' Wit A Psycho" uses a classic beat and a Grandmaster Flash "The Message" sample; you can't go wrong with that. You ask "Did he stop kicking gangsta rhymes?" Fuck no! "Bitch Killa" is full of Raps about sex and killing. Its got a dope funky horn loop. And when you get tired of that beat it jumps to another one.

For whatever reason the track "Everybody Killa" is only a min long but it is still dope. If I only had a min to live it would be my request. "Shoot Cha In A Minute" has a nice kick drum feel to it. And a N.W.A. diss that comes out of no were. "Do like a nigga from Compton and start runnin'! 100 miles..." You got to love that shit. "That's How My Trigga Went" is crazy track! Some nice lines are kicked here. A little short but dope. X-Raided ends this album with a dope crazy posse track. Eveybody on this track kicks dope shit. The beat is funky!; it has everything a dope track needs and then some.

This album has crazy dope gangsta Rap all the way through and beats that are just as dope. The album sounds like it was done in a basement, and that is just more proof that the most underrated and underground artist are the shit. This is without a dought a album no hardcore HipHop head should miss out on.

Tim Dog - Do Or Die

There are two big reasons why I want to review Tim Dog's second LP. #1 I'm a huge fan of him and #2 this album is often called wack. One things for sure, it is no "Penicillin on Wax". However, it still has some great tracks.

The album stats with the track "I Don't Give A Fuck" It has simple rhymes and a even much more simpler beat. This album could of used a much better intro then this. The picks up speed with "Grab Your Gat". It has a dope beat along with solid rhymes. Also it uses a slowed down sample of Tim Dog's own work and a KRS-One Sample as well; Both samples sound great on this beat. Next up comes the best track on the album but not only that, it is one of Tim Dog's best tracks ever! "I Get Wrecked" has a crazy dope beat and one of the best (if not the best) MC ever, KRS-One. He really out shines Tim on this track. But that should not come as a shock. However, Tim holds his own on the mic. Without a dought, this song is a classic.

Did you ever wonder what a song about Tim Dog's shoes whould sound like? Me either. The song "Timberlands" well leave even the biggest Tim Dog fan wanting to skip it. "If I Was A Cop" is not a great track by any means but, it well get you back into the mood for listening to this album. It use a nice Cypress Hill sample and Tim throws in a few good lines in it. On "Hardcore" Tim speaks on something that he is strongly against: Sell out MCs and record labels that don't like hardcore Hip-Hop. Tim kicks some dope rhymes on this one. Its such a same that the beat is so slow. I think it whould of been better if it had a hype beat. Still, you got to love those lyrics. To me the next track is thought of as a skit, rather then a song. Don't get me wrong I like when MCs diss bitches as much as the next guy. However, Tim Dog and his crew could of got much more creative on this track. Smooth B from the two man group Nice And Smoothstops by to kick some dope shit on "Skip To My Loot". They both work GREAT togather on a dope beat; It is a great tracks and is a strong highlight for this album.

"Silly Bitch" is "Get Off The Dick" part 2. It has a funky beat and a bass guitar sample that loops over and over. It is fair from great but it is funny. The next track "Maddog" is without a dought another highlight for this album. It has strong rhymes (dissing sell out MCs) and a hardcore South Bronx beat on the Reggae tip. "Make Room" is one dissaponting track. It has tons of scratching and a solid beat. However, Tim only kicks one verse and speends more time saying the chorus over and over then Rappin' on the mic. Tim Dog ends the album with a long list of shoutouts on "Breakin North". I don't think he missed a soul. He even has a little fuck you message for DJ Quik.

This album at times is below average, just average, and a few time way above average. Like I said, it has nothing on his first one. Howver, it has some great tracks to offer and fans of his first album should add it to there collection.

I have been looking for Nini X's album "She's Dangerous" for some time now. Even though I did not find it, I got a hold of the next best thing. This album has a lot of throwbacks and only a few new tunes. It also has some Dangerous Records songs that don't have Nini X on them, but other Blood Rappers like B Brazy, Red Rum, and Big Wy. The oldschool joints really out shine the newer ones. To me the best new joint is "Crabs We Wreck". It has a dope oldschool sound to it.

This is a very hard album to rate due to fact it mixed with dope Oldschool tracks with a few new ones that just don't do it for me. The album is also full of short clips of Nini X tracks. It gives the album way too much filler. However, it has has its moments.

Way before Coolio was hitting it big with "Gangsta's Paradise" and, even before he and W.C. strated the group W.C. & The Maad Circle; it was all about Low Profile. (W.C. & DJ Aladdin) DJ Aladdin is one of the dopest DJ's I have ever hard. Back in 1989 when this LP came out, he was on top of the DJ world. The first track on the album "Funky Song" is a great intro track. The rhymes are very simple and, easy to sing along. The cuts how ever are another story. You well find that DJ Aladdin brings us much more of these crazy cuts on almost every track. Then comes "That's Y They Do It". This has got to be the albums best, and the song that stands out the most. It has everything a dope song needs; and a strong message. It is about why the youth slangs dope. It is has hype as a party record, but at the sametime it is full of strong knowlege. We could really use songs like this today. "Pay Ya Dues" is another standout track. It tell the stroy about how they strated out with nothing; and how Ice-T helped them out. It also talks about fake gangstas acting hardcore, and you got to work hard to make it in Hip-Hop. It is the only track that is not full of DJ scatches; yet it still is one hell of a dope song. And its message is just as true now as it was back in 1989.

Next up is "Easy Money". It is shoter then the rest of the tracks on this album, but still manages to hold its own weight. "Keep Em' Flowin'" is on the real smooth and slow tip. However, that dose not stop DJ Aladdin from cutting it up; dope track! Then comes one of the albums highlight tracks "Aladdin's On A Rampage". Aladdin never takes any shorts on any of the tracks, but he takes us to a whole another level on this one. He cuts up the well known LL Cool J "Rock The Bells" say sample better then anyone; that I have hard anyway. No matter how many times I hear this track it never gets old.

"How Ya Livin'" talks about what goes on it the streets and how the black youth are dieing so young. Another stong massage from W.C. Then comes "Comin' Straight From The Heart". W.C. Raps about how there are some many wack MCs selling out, and how he always puts a lot of thought into his rhymes. Yet another strong massage on the MC tip. Now its time for W.C. to brag about his dope DJ to the world on the title track "We're In This Together". The beat is real hype and full of scratches. W.C. kicks some dope rhymes, and a lot of shoutouts to DJ Aladdin. He also give shoutouts to people they were down with. But just cause they gave shoutouts dose not mean they are done yet. The album contunes with "Make Room For The Dub.B.U.". W.C. Raps about styles that he feels are played out in Hip-Hop; while Aladdin keeps giving us more of what we want. "No Mercy" lets the hard headed wack MCs know for one last time that they are wack and Low Profile is way above their head. It is a nice track to end a out of this world dope album.

This albums has tons of re-play value, well written rhymes, strong messages, funky beats, and DJ scratches that well make your head spin. I bet you already known what I gave this for its album ranking less then half way throw the review.

In 1995, this two man group from the Eastside of Watts; Felony and Dedope droped this dope album. If you love the LP "Real Brothas" by B.G. Knocc Out & Dre'sta, add this one to your list.

The album starts of with a intro that is best to skip, and jump right into the music. The first song on the album "Slangin As I Speak" is without question the dopest track on the whole album. The beat is crazy dope, and the rhymes are just as good Next is "Watts Riders" and it is another track that really stands out. It is almost just as good as "Slangin As I Speak". Then comes "Wanna B". It is one of the albums most known tracks, due to the video. It is not as good as the first two tracks. However, it is still soild.

"Nine On My Hip" has a real smooth beat, with dope rhymes by both Felony and Dedope. The next two tracks "Hennessy And Chronic" and "What A Nigga (Gotta Go Through)" don't really standout, but they are still strong tracks. That's what makes this album so good. Even the tracks that don't standout hold their own weight. "Stay A True" is another track with a smooth beat, and about fake Gangstas. Its a real dope track, no dought. The next song "Come Take A Ride" is full of fast dope scatches; a nice track indeed.

Now that the album is almost at the end, Felony and Dedope decide to a real slow song called "Fuct In The Game". At first I did not care for this song, but after a re-play or two I noticed they kicked some dope rhymes on this one. I have to give them crdit, for being able to pull of such a slow song. "Due Or Die" is the last song on the album. It has kool rhymes and a dope gunshot sound that sounds great with the track. It's nice that they did not end their album on the slow tip. They end the album with a outtro, and give shoutouts to the people that they are down with and those that passed away. Also, Dedope syas that this is a Tripple platinum. We all know a hardcore LP like this would never even go gold in the world we live in. However, people like me and you that love hardcore and underated shit like this also know they should of went platinum, atlest once.

This group only droped one album, that I know of. They were members of the Nightbreed. You may recall them on the dope posse track on "Grim Reality" by Insane Poetry, "Stalkin With Nightbreed. KMC stands for Kaotic Minds Curruptin, and they are from L.A The group is made up of Tee Thee O.G., Rocc The Jock, and DJ Poison Ivey.

The album starts up with "Three Men With The Power Of Ten". It is far being a standout track, but it makes for a good intro. The track is about the group ,and the best part about it is that they don't forget about their DJ. Next up is "Lyrical Tournament". The two MC's show off their skills over a real hype beat. You will find that this album is done in a very fast tampo. I enjoyed that very much, since I like my beats very hyped. Then comes "Approachin' A Threat". It is fast yet, kind of smooth; solid track. "Avalanche" has some dope and crazy scratches by DJ Poison Ivey.

The album goes through a major change on the next two tracks. "Terrifying Tracks" is a dope "Horror Rap" track, with a dope beats and hardcore lyrices. This is for sure a big time highlight of the album. They contunue with another "Horror Rap" track called "Murder". To me its not as good but, still a soild track. Next is "The Streets Are The Battlefield" and, it is a great track about how harsh living on the streets of L.A. is. They bring so good knowlege to the table. DJ Poisson Ivey contunes to show his skills on the next track. "2-N-1" It's another hyped track with more crazy cuts.

The group gives some good detils about what they see go on in the streets on "Gangsters". They explane that they are not a gang, and all the stroyes they Rap about end with death. "Grim Reaper" is a nice mix of a MC party recored, and a "Horror Rap" all in one. It has super fast and dope scrathes. "Living In The Ghetto" is the slowest song on the LP, but its not too slow by any means. Its got a real smooth Wast Coast style to it. The last track "No Title For This" is a great way to end this dope LP. Both MC's kick real dope lyrices and, best of all Psycho from Insane Poetry stops by to kick some dope shit.

This album is dope all the way though. No track on this album is below average, thats for sure. I can't think of one reason why I should give this album anything less then a perficte score. It is really underated, and those are always the best albums. "Three Men With The Power Of Ten" is yet another get example of that.

Pimpin' On Wax (A New Beginning)

Over the last 48 hourr or so, I have nothing but trouble with Blogger.com. Yesterday I found that my old blog had been deleted. I tryed and tryed so many countless times to try to log in, but no luck. So, I crated a new one. I typed a long message telling about how my blog got deleted. Then today I went to log back on only to find out that my Username/Password was not working. However, I was able to find the URL to my new blog, so it was not deleted. But for whatever reason I am unable to log in. So, I typed in my E-mail to have Blogger send me my info. Its says that their is no acount that has this as their login infomation. I just know that's what I typed in yesterday, I have no idea what else it could be.

A few days before my oragnl acout was deleted I chacged my blog over to the new blooger. (Just for the hell of it.) I was able to log in twice with that acount. (But the 3rd time is when I found out that my blog was deleted. So, when I had to make a new blog yesterday I did not think anything of it. (since I was able to log into it before.) But since I have had something like that happon to me me twice, It's had hard not to blame the new Blogger (powered by google.)

The resaon why I'm telling you guys all this, and going into so much detell is because I strongly recomened that you don't witch to the New Blogger. Like I have been saying, its been giving me nothing but trouble. Now, there is a small chance that this whole thing had nothing to do with the New Blogger. But why take the chance? Enjoy the Old Blogger while you can. Add no, once you switch to the New Blogger you can't go back to the old one. Also if you crate a new account you have no choice, you have to use the New Blogger. So, hang on to your old acounts everyone.

If someone is upset at me due to copyright laws. Please, read this.

I would like to end this post on a positive note. Let's face the facts everone my blog was not great in the first place. And since I have to start over I might as while give it all I got the seconed time a round. That is why from now on I feel its only but right that I should type full reviews of all albums that I post, from now on. There can write this big are so many dope LPs that are unhard of and don't get the respect they should get, its the least I could do. A great example of this whould be the second to last album I posted on my old blog. "Grim Reality" by Insane Poetry. When I was posting the album, I thought to myself "I should write a fulll review on this." But like always I let my poor spelling skills, and most of all the fact that I'm lazy get in the way. But now from now on. Fuck, if I can write this long intro, I could write about the music that I love.
